A very happy new year to you all from the King’s Road!

We had a great 2023 season, playing 29 games across the long summer. Here are our 2023 match reports and here is a link to our Play-Cricket season card; we hope these will help to give you a flavour of what we got up to and the type of cricket we play.

First, a very big thanks to Pete for his excellent captaincy over the past two years, getting and keeping everyone really involved as well as striving to keep us competitive in our games. We look forward to seeing him pushing for more overs with the ball from a new and vulnerable captain this year.

Second, we have started our indoor nets in Dulwich, which we run from mid-January until early-April. These are every Thursday, from 19:30 until 21:00 hours. With these slightly longer sessions, everyone gets a good bat and bowl!

We would love to gain a few new players this season, just to help keep the side’s dynamism and allow us to reveal new secret weapons to our familiar oppositions during the season. To that end, we are really keen to have some new faces come down to nets and see if they enjoy themselves!

Perhaps you’re a full-time cricket badger. Perhaps you have spent years out of the game. Perhaps, on a new years’ resolution, you’ve committed to watching some international cricket and have found yourself falling back in love with it and have been dreaming of raising your bat after a gritty 25 (31) in Battersea Park. Perhaps, having found a dodgy stream and clicking through 1000 ‘X’ buttons to close some interesting pop-ups, you’ve been inspired by this England-India test series and its visa dramas.

Whatever your background and cricketing CV, we’d love to see you and can promise a warm environment in these cold months. We can also promise a beer after the net at the lovely local pub.
