THIS year’s King of The Road contest was halted at the semi final stage tonight after bad light stopped play.

Reigning champ Giles Fagan safely negotiated his way to the last four where he’ll face Tom Barnes for a place in the final.

In the other semi, Dan Howard – who knocked out Dan Sherman in the quarters – will take on Matt Glover.

Both matches will be played and the King of The Road 2011 will be crowned at a later date after gloom descended on Wandsworth Common.

Matt Cocken, Jeremy Smith, James Pritchard, Jamie Keating, Leon Watson, Amir Alipour, Sham De Silva, Michael Rossi and Andy Saker were the others knocked out at the quarter final or first round stages.

Next up The Road take on Hawksmoor CC in a 40 over match on Sunday before the last evening Twenty20 of the season against the London Itinerants on July 28.
