JAMIE Keating’s career with the Orange Caps looked under threat last night after he launched into a vile tirade of abuse against his own teammates just days before their biggest match of the summer.
The Croydon-based foulmouth called club statto Raju Mazumder a “doos” – South African slang for “dirty c**t” – and questioned the skipper James Couldrey’s tactics on his Twitter feed @cricketkeats.
He also complained about having to bat after Leon Watson, saying he had to watch the batsman “boar me”.
Jamie then branded a player – believed to be former skip and founding member Matt Cocken – a “northern monkey” in a series of abusive emails sent to the squad.
When asked who he was referring to, @cricketkeats refused to use Matt’s name and said: “The one thatโs always turning up late on his fancy yellow motorbike.”
However, the all-rounder, who is set to play in Saturday’s Super Test against the Battersea Badgers, insisted the misspelt Twitter feed isn’t him and is the work of an imposter close to the team.
“IT WAZNT ME!!!” he said. “Regards.”
Sources inside the King’s Road dressing room have described Jamie as “a problem” and denied the outburst on @cricketkeats was the work of a team member.
One said: “That’s Keats all over.”
