We are on the look out for a couple of new players for our 2024 season!
Like all social cricket teams, we are made up of a wide ranging group of players, but all have the same positive and friendly approach to cricket. We’re not a high ranking league team, but suspect we (and you) will have a lot more fun as a result!
The club plays a variety of friendly social cricket (mostly 35 or 40 over on the weekends, though we also enjoy some timed games when visiting lovely countryside grounds, as well as a number midweek T20s). We play mostly across South West London and the surrounding countryside. Most of our home games take place in the boroughs of Wandsworth and Merton (including games at Battersea Park, Dundonald Rec, Haydons Road Rec, Abbey Rec etc).
Most of the games are friendlies, but we do also play in the world-famous London Premier League! The current format of this is a 5-way round robin, followed by a tense final for the top two finishing teams.
Given we play so many games (approximately 30 per season!), we have lots of lovely players in our club and always like to recruit a couple each season to keep us strong in arms! We don’t have large membership fees, and you can easily come along to a net to see if you like the team and environment – most people love it and end up joining.
Whether you’re a seamer, batsman, star wicketkeeper, rubbish fielder, star baker, or even a spinner, we are sure we can offer you a great time.
