KING’S Road will hold the club’s annual AGM and pre-season booze-up at a pub in Battersea.

The event – during which this season’s captain will be revealed – will kick off at noon in The Draft House, Battersea Bridge Road.

Club chairman Giles Fagan said: “We will be discussing the usual, general things about the up-coming season, including the tour, fixtures, ethos, beer, food, and of course we shall be announcing who’s the captain for 2011.”

Giles, who is battling current skip Matt Cocken in this year’s captaincy election, said: “At the end of it I think we should carry on drinking and eating and have a party!”
