THE Road’s pre-season build up has been rocked after pace ace Adam Majeed revealed his foot is broken.
The Magic Man, who’s conjured up 29 wickets for King’s Road, had been complaining of a badly sprained ankle.
But further tests have revealed he suffered a fracture two weeks ago.
The Road’s fourth top wicket-taker of all-time hasn’t been seen at training since getting the injury.
Adam, from Woodford, said he’s been hobbling around London unaware of his condition.
Then, when the pain became too much, he sought medical help.
Speaking on his Facebook page today, Adam said: “Some have called me a hypochondriac for not playing cricket!”
The Road’s other opening bowler Kevin Pittaway has also been out of action with an injury that’s kept him out of pre-season nets.
New skip Giles Fagan will be hoping both will recover before The Road’s annual Intra-Club Challenge match at Clapham Common on April 17.
