FORMER skip Raju Mazumder has revealed he’s made himself available for selection after spending a month out.
The finger spinner-turned opening bat looks set to play the next match on Sunday having ruled himself out until now in mysterious circumstances.
Cricket-mad Raj, who’s usually up for any game anywhere, refused to play for The Road but wouldn’t reveal why.
His last game was against Bunga Bunga CC on July 2 when he opened the batting and scored 14.
Rumours have circulated that Raj’s been holed up in a Bangladeshi training camp gaining having intensive net sessions to fine-tune his technique.
Now he’s back and ready to face the Wandering Herd CC having vowed he’s better than ever.
In an e-mail to club bosses, Raj said: “So it’s been a while since I last played cricket – a month in fact.
“You can speculate as to why I have been away but now I’m back better than ever!”
