King’s Road skip Matt Cocken has signalled his intent to do some damage this season by buying a new bat.

The burly Northerner picked up the Newbury blade for a bargain price after opting for a lighter weight to help him nurdle runs.

Matt hit 147 runs last season at an average of 14 but has been working hard over the winter to top that.
