IT’S here – what will be the biggest seller since the Bible, Mao’s Little Red Book and Baden Powell’s rip-roaring read Scouting for Boys!
Well, at least it will be among cricketers on the Wandsworth Common cricket scene…
Anyway, after weeks of tears, tantrums and late-night number-crunching, The Road’s incredible end of season alamanack has been completed.
Club statman Raju Mazumder has compiled the comprehensive 141 page tome which details every cough and spit of 2011, our most successful year ever.
Make no mistake, it has every club and player stat and average you could possibly think of. It makes Wisden look thinner than a sheet of loo paper, albeit Andrex three-ply.
There’s a host of team stats including full batting and bowling tables, scorecards of every match and our historic all-time club records and honours board.
It has all the top scores, top figures, top partnerships and most runs and wickets. It also has the dreaded duck table.
And, of course, it has the annual Captain’s Report – our skip Gilo Fagan’s rundown of what went right and what went wrong throughout the season.
Every game is remembered with a mini match report written by one of the team so you won’t forget what happened on the day.
But what everyone wants to know is how you did? What was your average, your strike rate and how many ducks did you get?
The only way of knowing is with this definitive document. And it won’t be unveiled until our End of Season Dinner this Saturday at the New Rose pub in Fulham.
Remember, this is only available for a short period and the number on sale is LIMITED. Once they’re gone, they’re gone.
But, you can pre-order your copy for a mere ยฃ10 to avoid disappointment. Click here to e-mail Raju Mazumder with your order.
You’re a legend Raj!
I need a copy to fully back up my most improved player award for next year. And I don’t want to hear any suggestions of sandbagging…
