RUTHLESS screen baddie Stringer Bell has revealed he’s gunning for King’s Road this season – and hopes all our games go right down to THE WIRE.
Actor Idris Elba – who plays Baltimore drug kingpin Stringer in the hit US show –ย is the latest high-profile celeb to get behind the club this season.
He was snapped holding The Road’s famous orange cap after taking time out of his busy schedule to talk to KRCSC News reporter Leon Watson.
At a glitzy event in London’s Soho on Tuesday night, Idris was asked whether he was big cricket fan.
The Hackney-born star replied: “No, not really.”
Then, when asked to wear the club cap, he said: “Do I really have to wear it? I’d prefer not to!”
Last week King’s Road signed up England skip Andrew Strauss who wished the club “all the best” for the new season.
And club bosses have vowed to continue their quest to get a galaxy of stars to pledge their allegiance to The Road.
