TOM Barnes was pure box office as he blasted 88 not out off 63 balls to bring the curtain down on the Thespian Thunderers.
The Road’s lead batsman took centre stage to play the starring role in a comprehensive 33 win at Tooting Bec Common.
Mystic man Shailesh Joshi also played a part with 3 for 11 as The Road thundered through the Thesps to restrict them to 113 for 8 in their 20 overs.
Matt Gover supporting role with two wickets and there were walk-on parts for Matt Small, Sham de Silva and Jeremy Smith who each bagged a line in the scorebook.
But it was the show-stopper Tom who earned the rave reviews and received a standing ovation as he left the pitch.
