SLOVENIA’S World Cup star Boštjan Cesar battles England tomorrow – but he’d prefer to be batting for The Road.
That’s judging by this snap, taken on a secret visit to London this year to meet King’s Road spin king and sport psychologist Raju Mazumder.
According to reports, Boštjan – who was injured last September in a tackle with Wayne Rooney – has harboured a nine-month grudge against England’s striker.
But the tough 27-year-old told his new best mate and sporting confidante Raju he isn’t hell-bent on revenge after all.
In fact, Raj and Boštjan bonded so well the former West Brom stopper even agreed to follow in the footsteps of a galaxy of stars and don The Road’s famous orange cap.
One of the stars who beat Boštjan to it is Chelsea and ex England skip John Terry – who signed his name on South Africa-bound fan Amir Alipour’s cap last year.
By coincidence, Boštjan will face Terry tomorrow when England take on Slovenia in a crunch World Cup match.
And if Boštjan comes off second in that as well, he can rest assured we’ll always have a place at the King’s Road for him.
